The old bulding in the vicinity of ancient Stone Bridge was built in Sultan Abdulhamid period by Abidin Pasha , the governer of Adana .It was completed in 1883.This building ,which was one of the tallest buildings in the city, was built as the official state building at that time.First it was used as military secondary school and then military highschool.Between the years 1894 and 1895,the school was converted into a boarding school and a kitchen and dining room were added to the building.During the first world war,the building was used as a military depot .After the war of independence it was used as Adana Sultani and male highschool and in 1932 it has been used as a school for girls.Adana earthquake damaged the building in 1998 and the school moved to another place and was rebuilt on Süleyman Demirel Boulevard adhering to the historical structure of the old building.The new academic year began on September 24 th,2009 .Our school from the beginning of the academic year 2011-2012 in Anatolian High School,advancing the mission and vision of the future.
